Grain Leather
Grain leather
Grain leather is a collective name for two types of leather, dry textured leather and waxed textured leather. You can recognize waxed textured leather by its somewhat denser structure. To treat textured leather optimally, follow two steps.
1. Impregnating with Collonil Carbon Pro
Using Collonil Carbon Pro will keep your shoes water- and dirt-resistant. Minuscule particles penetrate the surface of the shoe and cover all individual fibers. The result? A waterproof shoe that lets your foot breathe. Textured leather is susceptible to a lot of sunlight, which can cause the leather to discolor without proper protection. With textured leather, it is therefore important to spray the product at least twice before the first wear. After that, it is important to spray them once every two to three weeks.
2. Care with Collonil wax leather spray or Collonil wax cream
The wax leather spray gives the leather extra protection and nutrition. It is important that you spray evenly and keep the can at a distance of 20 centimeters from the leather. If you spray too long on one surface you risk darkening the leather. After spraying, polish lightly and the leather will regain its full appearance.
